Why we don't publish a fixed price list

Apple parts pricing moves. The cost of a MacBook battery, screen, or logic board today is not what it was three months ago, and what we'd charge to fit it depends on the specific model, the condition we find inside, and what the right outcome is for you. Publishing fixed numbers would be either misleading (out of date by the time you read it) or padded with margin to cover ourselves (unfair to customers whose repair turns out to be cheaper).

Instead, we give you a proper diagnostic, then a written quote covering parts, labour, and turnaround. You decide whether to proceed before any chargeable work starts.

How a quote works

1. Talk to us first. Call 01253 445032. We can often give you a ballpark over the phone for common faults, before you even bring the Mac in.
2. Diagnostic. If the fault isn't obvious, we open the Mac and assess it properly. £75 fee. Deducted from the repair cost if you go ahead.
3. Written quote. Parts, labour, turnaround. Itemised so you know what you're paying for.
4. You decide. If you proceed, we book it in. If you don't, you pay the diagnostic fee and the Mac goes back to you in the condition it arrived in.
5. No surprises mid-job. If we find something else during the repair, we stop and quote separately before continuing.
